A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BA – Martin Witchard

“My name is Martin and I am a Business Analyst at a Not-For-Profit (NFP) organisation. NFPs are close-knit places, and your engagement skills need to be top-notch to communicate effectively (and, often sensitively) with your stakeholders. My team has just delivered an Initiatives Delivery framework. This took several weeks of meetings and workshops co-designing the framework with a cross-section of business stakeholders in the commercial arm of the business. This was grass roots operational work. I’m also working on the analysis and development of guardrails (aka guidelines, rules, decisions) around the purchase of properties for the organisation’s future art union prize draws. This is more strategic – tactical work. Being a Business Analyst is never boring; you’re always thinking ahead, taking the initiative, and providing fit for purpose and fit for use solutions to support the business”
